The Crafts

Block Print

Block printing isn’t just a technique - it’s a tradition, passed down through generations of artisans in Jaipur and beyond. This centuries-old craft, perfected by the Chhipa community, brings our bold, beautiful designs to life.

Each print starts as a hand-drawn design, painstakingly carved into wooden blocks. These blocks are dipped in richly pigmented dyes and pressed onto organic cotton, layer by layer. Some of our more intricate prints require up to six individual colour applications - each one stamped by hand with unwavering precision.

The result? A wearable work of art, alive with character. No two pieces are exactly the same, and that’s what makes them special. In a world of mass production, we celebrate the human touch - the slight variations, the richness of colour, the story behind every print.

Handmade. Timeless. Effortlessly beautiful.
And always worth the wait.

The design is first drawn onto a wooden block and then carved out by hand. This is a highly skilled art by itself, and takes years to master.

Some designs require up to six layers of colour and five separate blocks, all applied by hand.

Block printing on cotton has been practised in Jaipur, India's Pink City since the 12th century.
